JC Desserts is an Online Dessert Boutique based out of Hatch Kitchen RVA located in the heart of Richmond, VA. Hatch Kitchen is an incubator for small local businesses alike, providing them space to grow and serve their communities. Hatch is easily accessible from Richmond’s City Center to it’s surrounding counties.

Justin Ross

A Richmond, Virginia native, Justin Ross is the Owner and Pastry Chef of JC Desserts. From menu creation, to customer consults, to making deliveries, Justin plays a vital part of bringing new and cutting edge desserts to the greater Richmond area.

   Most recently Justin has come off his appearance on Food Network as a contestant on the Spring Baking Championship Season 8 where he left it all on the line for a chance at $25,000. His past experience has taken him down the South East of the United States coming from The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia where he learned a great deal about chocolate work, working under Jean-Francois Suteau. Justin has also gained a tremendous amount of experience from his other travels, notably working under Kelly Fayard at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, NC, as well as John Cook at Norman Love Confections in Fort Myers, FL. These are just a few stops along Justin’s journey that has molded him into the exceptional pastry chef that he is today.

   Justin comes from a loving family which includes his parents James & Grace, two older sisters, two nieces, and a nephew. When he‘s not in the kitchen baking, Justin enjoys cycling on the Virginia Capital Trail, practicing his green thumb in the garden, or exploring new places and activities around town.
